History of the original:

Modelled on the Danish tugboat M/S YMER, which was built in 1942 in Aalborg for the "Forenede Bugserselskab". In 1951, the Ymer capsized in Copenhagen's "Frihavn" and the crew of four was rescued. She was later salvaged and sold to a Greek company in 1975 and renamed Deka.

Kit description:

The kit is a new edition of a model series from the 70s. Completely revised and with new illustrated step-by-step building instructions. The set consists of moulded ABS parts for hull and deck. Superstructures are laser cut plywood parts. A complete set of fittings for equipping the model is included.

Who is the kit suitable for?

The kit is aimed at modellers with little experience. The conversion to an RC driving model is possible for advanced modellers but should be well planned before building.

Paints, adhesives and tools are required and can be found in our range.

What do the building instructions look like?

The multilingual building instructions consist of a step-by-step photo documentation and parts list with overview plans.
