Exclusive special edition model of the HMS Victory - limited edition

HMS Victory is an outstanding British warship with a rich history, built in the 18th century and recognised as one of the most famous ships in the Royal Navy. Construction began in 1759 and the Victory's keel was finally laid in 1765. She was commissioned in 1778 and went through various renovations and modernisations.

The Victory was best known for her notable role in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, where Admiral Nelson was in command of the ship. In this decisive naval battle during the Napoleonic Wars, the British fleet defeated the combined Franco-Spanish fleet. Admiral Nelson lost his life, but the Victory played a key role in this victory.

The ship is a ship of the line with 104 guns and was one of the most powerful warships of her time. After the Battle of Trafalgar, the Victory was not scrapped but preserved as a museum ship in Portsmouth. Today, she is the oldest warship in service in the world. Her preserved authenticity makes her a fascinating tourist attraction and an important symbol of Britain's maritime history. A visit to HMS Victory offers an insight into the technology, life on board and the naval battles of the 18th and 19th centuries that left their mark on the world.

This kit is something unique. During construction, special attention was paid to the hull and its frames. All the frames are reproduced from the original oak and some of them remain unplanked so that you can take a look inside the ship. In order to connect the frames to the keel, a special slipway and distance gauges are included in the kit to enable precise work. The hull is planked with single planking from the gun decks upwards. Mahogany is used for parts of the superstructure, non-visible beams are made of MDF and plywood. The fittings include a large number of turned brass parts and cast brass for the decorations on the bow and stern. Particularly fine details are etched brass parts. All rigging material is of course included in the kit. The sail set is sewn by hand and fitted with ropes. A truly marvellous model stand is included.

The building instructions are a thick colour booklet with 759 step-by-step illustrations, and you can also find step-by-step videos from the manufacturer OCCRE on YouTube.

The kit is supplied in an elegant wooden box with the serial number and a collector's coin.

Once you have spent countless hours assembling the more than 6000 parts, you can compare your model with the original in the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth!
