Product information "Bombarda La Candelaria building Kit"
The Candelaria is a bombarde in the style of a brigantine, but wider and with different fittings. The ship was equipped with a main mast and a smaller mizzen mast with a gaff sail. Between the mainmast and the forecastle are the mortars. The Candelaria was designed and used to besiege and fire on harbours and fortresses from the seaward side.
The kit includes sails, all parts and fittings, pre-sorted according to assemblies. Different types of wood and precision-cut parts enable exact assembly and ensure a very realistic, detailed appearance.
