MJX Hyper GO 10304 Volkswagen Polo R WRC 2015 1:10 – 4WD Brushless RC Rally Car
The MJX Hyper GO 10304 Volkswagen Polo R WRC 2015 is a 1:10 scale radio-controlled rally car featuring permanent four-wheel drive, a sensor-controlled brushless motor and an officially licensed Volkswagen body. The model is visually based on the Polo R WRC from the 2015 World Rally Championship and combines its distinctive design with a high-performance RC chassis for fast tarmac driving, controlled drifts and use on compacted gravel tracks.
With its aluminium chassis, a drivetrain constructed largely from metal, oil-filled differentials and electronic stability control, the Hyper GO 10304 offers numerous options for adjusting the handling characteristics. Two sets of tyres are included, extending the car’s versatility to different road surfaces.
7075 aluminium chassis and permanent 4WD
The design is based on a high-strength chassis plate made from 7075 aluminium. Additional bracing increases torsional rigidity and ensures precise guidance of the chassis components. Ball bearings reduce friction in the rotating drive components.
Engine power is transmitted to the front and rear axles via a metal gearbox and a central propeller shaft. Metal gears and CVD drive shafts form a robust drivetrain designed to handle the power of the brushless motor.
Separate bevel gear differentials filled with silicone oil operate on both axles. They allow for different wheel speeds when cornering and, via the resistance of their oil filling, influence the distribution of drive power between the wheels. MJX uses differential oil with a viscosity of 100,000 cSt at the front and 200,000 cSt at the rear. This relatively high-viscosity setup limits speed equalisation and enhances traction during acceleration. The handling characteristics can be specifically adjusted by using different oil viscosities.
Sensor-equipped brushless motor with 80 A controller and Bluetooth programming
The 3652 brushless motor with 3200 kV features a sensor system for detecting the rotor position. This enables the speed controller to regulate the motor more precisely, particularly when starting off and at low speeds. The smooth power delivery makes it easier to modulate acceleration on surfaces with limited grip.
The sensor-controlled E80SDH speed controller, with a current rating of 80 A, is used. It supports 2S and 3S LiPo batteries. According to the manufacturer, with a suitable 3S battery, the vehicle can reach a top speed of up to approximately 70 km/h.
Various speed controller parameters can be adjusted via the integrated Bluetooth interface using a smartphone app. These include, for example, the motor braking effect (drag brake) and the neutral range of the throttle control. In addition, battery voltage as well as motor and speed controller temperatures can be monitored.
The integrated BEC provides a switchable supply voltage of 6 or 7.4 volts for the radio control system. According to MJX, the maximum output current is 13 A.
Independent suspension with oil-filled shock absorbers and gyro stabilisation
The chassis features independent suspension with wishbones, anti-roll bars on both the front and rear axles, and four oil-filled aluminium shock absorbers. These control spring movement and keep the wheels in as even contact as possible with the ground on uneven surfaces. The anti-roll bars reduce lateral roll during rapid changes of direction.
The dampers are filled with silicone oil with a viscosity of 500 cSt. The handling characteristics can be adapted to different track conditions by adjusting the chassis geometry, spring preload and damper settings.
A digital 6-kg servo is fitted for the steering. This is supplemented by the G3C gyro system, which detects the vehicle’s rotational movements about the vertical axis and issues corrective steering signals when necessary. This supports directional stability during acceleration and can counteract a rear-end breakaway during a drift.
The strength of the gyro assistance can be adjusted between 0 and 100 per cent. The direction of action and the end points of the steering travel can also be configured on the gyro unit.
Licensed Volkswagen Polo R WRC body with LED lighting
The body reproduces the distinctive shape of the 2015 Volkswagen Polo R WRC. Its blue, white and black rally livery, featuring Volkswagen logos, sponsor lettering and start number 1, is complemented by widened mudguards, moulded air intakes, a sporty front apron and a large rear wing.
MJX uses polycarbonate (PC) as the material. To attach it, the body is hooked into place at the front and positioned at the rear using a magnetic fastener. Additional securing clips lock it onto the chassis.
A practical feature is the integrated electrical contacts for the LED lighting system. When the body is fitted, the connection to the vehicle’s electronics is established automatically. Separate cable connections do not need to be disconnected when removing the body. The lighting comprises front headlights and rear lights with brake and indicator functions and can be operated via the remote control.
Two sets of tyres for tarmac and rally tracks
The Hyper GO 10304 is supplied with two complete sets of wheels. The road tyres are suitable for smooth, paved surfaces and dynamic driving manoeuvres on tarmac. The second set has a more pronounced tread pattern, which can provide additional traction on firm gravel and uneven surfaces.
By changing the tyres, the vehicle can be prepared for both fast road driving and rally-style tracks with varying grip levels. However, the comparatively low-profile rally chassis is not designed for rough terrain with deep ruts or large obstacles.
2.4 GHz remote control with adjustable control travel
The included T3D pistol-style remote control operates at 2.4 GHz and enables fully proportional control of throttle, brake and steering. An R3B three-channel receiver is fitted to the vehicle.
Using the transmitter’s controls, you can trim the throttle and steering, reverse the control directions and limit the maximum control travel via dual rate. The adjustable throttle limit is particularly useful for controlling the high engine power on smaller driving surfaces.
Contents and required accessories
The MJX Hyper GO 10304 is supplied largely ready to run, with a built-in brushless motor, speed controller, steering servo, gyroscope, receiver and LED lighting. The package includes the painted Volkswagen Polo R WRC body, the T3D remote control, a set of road tyres already fitted, an additional set of rally tyres, tools, a bag of accessories and spare parts, and the instruction manual.
The MX-10304 model is supplied without a driving battery or charger. To operate the model, you will need a suitable 2S or 3S LiPo battery with an XT60 connector, a compatible LiPo balancer charger, and four AA batteries for the remote control.
MJX recommends an Angry Snail 2S LiPo with 5000 mAh. When using other batteries, the dimensions of the battery compartment must be taken into account in addition to the voltage and connector type.
