RC sailing boat model types
Kits consist of individual parts that must be fully assembled. A kit contains all the materials required to build the model, such as the hull and sails. Not included are paints, adhesives and accessories for the remote control, such as sail winches and the remote control unit itself.
ARR models are partially pre-assembled but do not include any remote control components. Batteries and servos also usually need to be purchased separately. ARR models are suitable for model sailors who wish to use an existing remote control system.
RTR models are fully assembled RC sailing boats that are delivered almost ready for use and with all necessary accessories. Only minor assembly work remains to be carried out, such as fitting the mast or keel. A remote control system comprising a transmitter and receiver, as well as servos, is included in the scope of delivery.
