MJX Hyper GO 10306 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 1:10 – 4WD Brushless RC Drift Car
The MJX Hyper GO 10306 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is a 1:10 scale radio-controlled on-road and drift car featuring an officially licensed Ford body, permanent four-wheel drive and a sensor-controlled brushless motor. The model replicates the American high-performance sports car in its distinctive blue paintwork with white racing stripes. Beneath the bodywork lies a high-performance RC chassis designed for fast driving on tarmac and controlled drift manoeuvres.
With a 7075 aluminium chassis, metal components in the drivetrain, adjustable suspension and electronic gyro stabilisation, the Hyper GO 10306 offers technical features that go beyond those of a standard RC road car. Two different sets of tyres allow the handling to be adapted to the surface and driving style.
7075 aluminium chassis with permanent 4WD
The vehicle is based on a chassis plate made from high-strength 7075 aluminium. The torsionally rigid construction ensures precise chassis control and absorbs the stresses generated during heavy acceleration, braking and rapid changes of direction.
Unlike the rear-wheel-drive original, the RC model’s permanent all-wheel drive distributes engine power to all four wheels. Power is transmitted via a metal gearbox, a central drive shaft and CVD drive shafts. Metal gears and ball bearings ensure a robust, low-friction drivetrain.
Differentials on the front and rear axles allow for speed compensation between the wheels when cornering. This improves steering response and reduces stress on the drivetrain. For fast driving on tarmac, the combination of all-wheel drive and a relatively low centre of gravity is particularly advantageous, as the driving forces are distributed across several wheels.
Sensor-equipped brushless motor with 80 A speed controller and Bluetooth
The built-in 3652 brushless motor with 3200 kV features a sensor system for detecting the rotor position. Unlike a sensorless brushless drive, this allows the speed controller to control the motor more precisely, particularly when starting off and at low speeds. This enables smoother throttle response, which is particularly helpful during controlled drifts and on surfaces with low grip.
The motor is controlled by a waterproof E80SDH brushless speed controller with an 80 A current rating. It supports both 2S and 3S LiPo batteries. According to the manufacturer, the Mustang reaches speeds of up to 47 km/h with a 2S battery and up to 70 km/h with a suitable 3S battery. The actual speed depends on battery performance, the road surface and operating conditions.
A special feature of the ESC is the Bluetooth interface for programming via a smartphone app. This allows you to adjust, amongst other things, the motor braking effect (drag brake), the acceleration characteristics and the neutral range of the throttle control. In addition, operating data such as battery voltage and motor and ESC temperature can be read out.
An integrated BEC supplies power to the radio control system and the connected electronics.
Independent suspension with oil-filled shock absorbers and adjustable steering
The chassis features independent suspension with wishbones and four oil-filled metal shock absorbers. These control spring movement, reduce wheel oscillation and ensure the smoothest possible ground contact. Various adjustment options for the chassis and steering geometry allow adaptation to different driving conditions.
The steering is actuated by a 6-kg servo. It is supported by the G3C gyro system, which detects unwanted rotational movements about the vehicle’s vertical axis and automatically generates corrective steering signals. This helps to stabilise the vehicle at high speeds and improve control during drift manoeuvres.
The intensity of the electronic stabilisation can be continuously adjusted between 0 and 100 per cent. In addition, the correction direction and the end points of the steering movement can be configured on the gyro unit. This allows the driver to determine the balance between direct manual control and electronic assistance themselves.
Licensed Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 body with LED lighting
The polycarbonate body faithfully reproduces the distinctive silhouette of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. The elongated bonnet, the wide radiator grille featuring the Shelby Cobra emblem, the sculpted side skirts and the large rear wing are all modelled on the design of the American sports car.
Particularly eye-catching is the blue paintwork with two white racing stripes running across the bonnet, roof and rear. Black wheels, simulated air intakes and the detailed front end complete the look.
The body is attached to the chassis via a magnetic quick-release system. This allows it to be removed for battery replacement or maintenance work without the usual need to dismantle several body clips.
The integrated LED lighting system includes the distinctive front headlights and rear lights. The lighting is powered by the vehicle’s electronics and can be switched on and off using the remote control.
Two sets of tyres for grip and drifting
The Hyper GO 10306 is supplied with two complete sets of wheels. The different tyres allow you to specifically adjust the handling on smooth surfaces.
With high-grip road tyres, the engine power can be utilised for rapid acceleration and controlled cornering on tarmac. Drift-oriented tyres, on the other hand, reduce lateral grip and make it easier to induce controlled skidding. The four-wheel drive and adjustable gyroscope help maintain control over the drift angle.
The Mustang is primarily designed for paved, as level as possible surfaces. Loose ground, severe unevenness or large obstacles are only suitable to a limited extent due to the low-profile on-road chassis.
2.4 GHz radio control and electronic driving functions
The supplied T3D pistol-grip radio control operates at 2.4 GHz and enables fully proportional control of throttle, brake and steering. The vehicle is fitted with an R3B three-channel receiver.
On the transmitter, you can trim the steering and throttle, reverse the control directions and limit the maximum control travel via dual rate. Throttle limiting is particularly useful on a high-performance brushless vehicle when driving on smaller areas or at lower speeds.
Under suitable conditions, the radio range is approximately 120 metres.
Contents of the pack and required accessories
The MJX Hyper GO 10306 is supplied as a largely ready-to-run (RTR) model with a brushless motor, speed controller, steering servo, receiver and gyroscope already installed. The package includes the painted Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 body, the T3D 2.4 GHz radio control unit, two complete sets of tyres, a tool kit with Allen keys and screwdrivers, additional small parts and spares, as well as the instruction manual.
The MX-10306 model is supplied without a driving battery or charger. Operation requires a suitable 2S or 3S LiPo battery with an XT60 connector, a compatible LiPo balancer charger, and four AA batteries for the remote control.
MJX recommends an Angry Snail 2S LiPo with 5000 mAh. When selecting other batteries, the voltage, connector and dimensions must be compatible with the vehicle.
