Henriette-Marie sailing boat kit from Billing Boats
History of the original:
Henriette-Marie is the first known pilot cutter from Le Havre. Built in 1847, it was in service until 1890. The Henriette-Marie was a fast and very manoeuvrable boat, her crew consisted of 2 men and a ship's boy. The pilot cutters were nicknamed "Swallows of the Canal" because of their vivacity and their black hulls with white flags.
Kit contents description:
The kit is constructed with frames, the parts are laser-cut with great precision. The hull is planked with wooden mouldings. Add-on parts are made very cleanly from plastic and are painted. Blocks for rigging are made of wood. Sail cloth and rigging twine are included. Detailed building instructions with building plan complete this kit. The hull is simply planked. A model stand is included.
