History of the original:

The shipping company J. Lauritzen had the schooner built in 1951 by the well-known shipyard J. Ring Andersen in Svendborg as a training ship for the company's own maritime school in Kogtved near Svendborg. Oak and beech were used as building materials.
Today, the LILLA DAN is chartered out to various interest groups for one or more days. Conferences, short parties or simply long relaxing pleasure trips in the Scandinavian waters are organised on board.

Kit content description:

This kit is based on the classic frame construction method. All wooden parts are precisely laser-cut. A 1:1 construction plan, building instructions, sail cloth and all the wooden and plastic fittings required for construction are included.

Who is the kit suitable for?

The kit is aimed at modellers with experience in ship modelling, but the instructions are so brief that the construction may not be as easy as hoped.
The rigging plan consists of two pages of drawings - anyone with no experience will quickly reach their limits.

What else is needed?

Paints, adhesives and tools are required and can be found in our range.

What do the building instructions look like?

The multilingual assembly instructions consist of very brief drawings without detailed explanations. Parts list and overview plans. Good technical imagination is required here.
