History of the model

In April 1789 the Bounty sailed from Tahiti and during the passage of Endeavour some of the crew mutinied. Captain Blight and 18 of his followers boarded one of the three dinghies. This small dinghy travelled 3600 miles to Timor with one main sail, the jib sails and the help of the oars!

Kit description

The model of the Bounty dinghy is built using a frame on keel construction, similar to the design of the real ship. The kit contains all the necessary parts to build the model, 3 plywood panels with parts precisely laser cut. It includes a full set of planks, wooden mouldings, roundels and veneer. All die-cast and brass accessories are neatly organised in a sorting box. A flag, ready-sewn sails and rigging twine are included. Construction plans, German instructions and many photos guide you through the entire building process. The instructions are only available as a digital download. An overview plan and parts list are included in printed form with the kit.
