History of the original:

The Oseberg was found in 1903 in Norway at the Oseberg in Vestfold. It lay on a bed of blue clay and was covered with peat and stones. The Oseberg was built in the last half of the 800s and sank about 50 years later. The ship is about 50 to 100 years older than similar ships that have been found so far. It lay deep in the water and must have been relatively dangerous under sail.

Kit description:

All parts are made of wood and carefully laser-cut, which makes assembly very easy. Sail cloth to paint yourself and rigging twine are included.

Clear instructions make the model a first kit for youngsters.

If the model is painted, it is also floatable.
