Spare parts and accessories for historic model ships

The construction and restoration of historic model ships require a wide range of small fittings, rigging materials and spare parts. In our range, you will find a large selection of accessories for historic sailing ships, display models and classic wooden model ship kits.

From rigging twine and simple blocks to ‘Jungfern’, shroud tensioners, anchors and gun barrels, you’ll find a wide range of components to ensure your model ship is fitted out as faithfully as possible.

Rigging accessories for historic sailing ships

The rigging plays a decisive role in shaping the appearance of a historic sailing ship. For standing and running rigging, we stock, amongst other things:

• Rope in various thicknesses and colours
• single, double and multi-sheave blocks
• thimbles
• shroud tensioners
• rigging hooks
• eye bolts and eyelets
• rigging nails and other small parts

Rope is available in various diameters and enables a true-to-scale representation of shrouds, stays, sheets and other lines.

Pulleys, ‘Jungfern’ and fittings

Pulleys are used in real-life vessels to guide and redirect ropes and are therefore part of the basic equipment of historic sailing ships. Depending on the application, single, double or multi-sheave versions are used.

‘Jungfern’ were used, particularly on historic sailing ships, to tension the shrouds and are a characteristic feature of many tall ships.

In addition, you will find numerous fittings for model ships, such as cleats, hooks, eyelets, hinges and other metal or wooden parts.

Anchors, cannons and deck accessories

To ensure historically accurate detailing of model ships, we also offer various anchors, anchor chains, gun barrels and other deck accessories.

Particularly with historical display models, such details are crucial for a realistic overall appearance and enable you to supplement existing kits, replace damaged parts or customise a model to your own taste.

Spare parts for restoration and building from scratch

Many items are suitable not only for new model ship kits, but also for the restoration of older models or building a model from scratch according to plans.

When making your selection, pay particular attention to the scale, dimensions, material and design of the parts you require. For rigging materials, you should also take into account the correct thread thickness for your model.
