Robitronic Expert LD 20 – compact NiMH/NiCd charger with Delta-Peak cut-off
The Robitronic Expert LD 20 is a straightforward mains charger for NiMH and NiCd battery packs with 4 to 8 cells. With a fixed charging current of 2 A, it is particularly suitable for classic battery packs used in RC model-making, such as for model boats, RC cars and other applications using NiMH batteries.
The integrated Delta-Peak cut-off monitors the charging process and automatically stops charging as soon as the battery is fully charged. This means there is no need to manually monitor the charging time. The current operating status is clearly indicated by an LED: a flashing green light indicates standby mode, a red light indicates that charging is in progress, and a steady green light indicates that charging has finished.
The Expert LD 20 is designed for NiMH and NiCd batteries with capacities ranging from 2,000 to 6,000 mAh. According to the manufacturer, a 3,000 mAh battery takes around 90 minutes to fully charge. The output delivers up to 2 A or 20 W of charging power.
