LED lighting set with 24 LEDs for the Juan Sebastián de Elcano 1:140
This specially designed LED lighting set for the 1:140 scale model of the Juan Sebastián de Elcano allows you to illuminate the finished model ship to great effect. The set has been specifically developed for the Juan Sebastián de Elcano wooden model kit (item number 22521) and is tailored to its deck structures, skylights and portholes.
The 24 warm-white LEDs, each 3 mm in diameter, produce a soft, even light and, thanks to their compact design, are particularly suitable for installation in a highly detailed ship model. The warm white light colour conveys an authentic impression and is visually more reminiscent of classic on-board lighting than cold white LED light.
Each LED already features an integrated series resistor. This means that no additional resistors need to be calculated or fitted. Wiring is carried out using the red and black connecting wires included in the set. The connections are soldered; suitable solder is already included.
There are two options available for the power supply. The set includes both a compact CR2032 button cell holder and a battery holder for two AAA batteries with an integrated on/off switch. The required batteries, or the CR2032 button cell, are not included.
With a total of 10 metres each of red and black cable, there is sufficient wiring material to position the individual light points flexibly within the hull and the superstructure. The set also includes heat-shrink tubing for neatly insulating the soldered connections.
The lighting set is therefore ideal for showcasing the Juan Sebastián de Elcano to great effect, even in subdued room lighting, and for visually highlighting details such as portholes, deck superstructures and interior areas.
