History of the original:
The Bluenose was launched in Nova Scotia in 1921 to fish in the rich waters off Newfoundland. However, the ship soon found a different purpose, as it became apparent that this schooner was winning every regatta held along the east coast of the United States. It became the fastest yacht until its glorious career came to an end on a rocky reef off the coast of Haiti. The Bluenose II, built in 1964, is a replica of the original Bluenose.
Kit description:
The kit contains all the parts required to build the model; all wooden parts are precisely pre-cut using laser cutting technology. All high-quality fittings are clearly organised in a sorting box. The sails are already sewn. All construction plans and German instructions are available in digital format only and are included on a DVD! NO printed instructions are included in the set.
Materials for a model stand are included.

Differences from the current kit:
This version of the kit is identical to the newer version in terms of details and features. The older version uses some precious woods, and the planks are also longer. The instructions are less detailed. The outer packaging is larger.
