Segment cross-section of the English ship of the line HMS Victory from the 18th and 19th centuries. A model ship kit of the Trafalgar Edition of 1805 in scale 1:72 by Artesania Latina.
A brief history of the HMS VICTORY
The British ship of the line HMS Victory is known for its participation in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 as Admiral Horatio Nelson's flagship against the Spanish Armada. At the time, it was the largest ship in the British Royal Navy. Today it is a museum piece in a dry dock in the harbour of Portsmouth (Hampshire) in southern England. The English ship HMS Victory remains the flagship of the Second Sea Lord. It is all the more significant as it is the only ship of the line to have been preserved in its original condition to this day.
HMS Victory was launched in 1765. The remaining work, such as the rigging, sails and armament, was gradually completed until the British ship of the line could be put into service in 1778. Two years after being given command of HMS Victory, Nelson took part in the Battle of Trafalgar, the most decisive of the Napoleonic Wars, which put an end to the French and Spanish navies and gave the United Kingdom a naval supremacy that would last until the Second World War. Nelson did not live to see his victory, however, as he died during the battle in hand-to-hand combat with the Redoutable, a large French ship with 74 guns.

Toller Bausatz aber mit gewöhnungsbedürftiger Anleitung.
Ein ganz toller Bausatz. Alles sehr hochwertige Materialen. Die Videoanleitung ist gut um sich ein Bild des Baus zu machen aber etwas umständlich beim Bau selber. Hier wäre ein ergänzender Plan noch hilfreich gewesen,
- Kein Spielzeug
- Nicht geeignet für Kinder unter 14 Jahre
- Enthält verschluckbare Kleinteile
