History of the original:

Build the wooden model of the British ship HMS Endeavour, which was originally a coal ship and was later converted to carry out Captain James Cook's long expeditions through the Great South Seas. Today it is known as a barque.

Launched in 1764 and chosen four years later by the aforementioned sailor to prepare for his historic voyage, HMS Endeavour was involved in important discoveries. She discovered Australia and made it possible to locate Tahiti, New Zealand and numerous islands in the Pacific Ocean, as well as discovering animal and plant species previously unknown in Europe.

All these adventures, undertaken from the United Kingdom, made it possible to calculate longitude with great accuracy using mathematical formulae. In this sense, the contribution of James Cook's voyages to navigation, seafaring and geographical exploration is of absolute historical importance.

The new model kit of the research vessel and former coaling ship HMS Endeavour has been completely redesigned. Construction kit in detail:

The wooden model kit of the HMS Endeavour contains high-precision laser-cut parts made of birch and lime wood, oak veneers -to complete the hull construction- and lime, much more realistic surfaces with newly designed and highly detailed photo-etched and die-cast details, as well as hand-sewn sails.

For the assembly of the 1:65 scale model of the HMS Endeavour, there are detailed and precise step-by-step instructions with informative pictures consisting of 500 pages and supplementary video tutorials. A model stand rounds off this fantastic kit.
