historical ship model kit caravel "La Nina", an Artesania Latina ship kit made of wood 1:65
History of the original:
The caravel La Nina, which took part in the discovery of the American continent on 12 October 1492, was part of Columbus' fleet.
The primitive Latin sails that we are reproducing here were converted into square sails during a stay of the fleet on the Canary Islands. After the sinking of the Nao Santa Maria, the Nina became the main ship. Columbus took command on the return voyage to Europe.
