A Hall anchor is a stockless ship’s anchor with movable flukes. Thanks to its compact design without a stock, it takes up little space on board and is stored directly in the anchor locker or hawsehole on ships.
Characteristic features include the straight shank, the sturdy anchor head and the flukes that can be swivelled sideways. When anchored, the flukes align themselves under the tension of the anchor chain and dig into the seabed. The Hall anchor was frequently used, particularly on larger ships, due to its robust construction and ease of handling.
This replica is made of brass parts and cast metal. The anchor is movable and is suitable for ship modelling, for detailing model ships, for dioramas, shipyard and harbour scenes, as well as for nautical modelling projects.
