Vanguard Models wurde von dem bekannten Schiffsmodellkonstrukteur Chris Watton gegründet.


Chris Watton ist ein weltbekannter Designer von Schiffsmodellbausätzen, der vor allem für seine Arbeit mit dem Unternehmen Amati bekannt ist und über 25 Jahre Erfahrung in der Planung und Konstruktion von Modellschiffen hat. VANGUARD MODELS wurde 2019 gegründet und ist Chris' eigene Firma mit der Spezialisierung auf Modell Schiffe. Zu seinen Arbeiten gehört die "Victory Models"-Serie des Herstellers AMATI sowie etliche Modelldesigns für Magazine wie Hachette.
Die Bausätze bestechen durch beste Scaletreue und höchste Materialqualität. Insbesondere wurde die  Herstellung von Edelholzteilen mit Lasergravur kompromisslos umgesetzt sowie perfekte Bauanleitungen mit Hunderten von Farbfotos als Anleitung und Bau Dokumentation angefertigt.

Auch an Modellbauer mit weniger Erfahrung wurde gedacht und Modelle konzipiert die auch für unerfahrene Modellbauer zur Freude werden.
