Steam boat SAITO T-1 KIT

Steamboat T-1 incl. steam engine

Simple steamboat model with GRP hull and complete steam equipment as a kit. The set contains all the necessary parts and superstructures for building the ship as well as a steam system consisting of steam engine T1 and the boiler with burner OB-1. The boiler is fuelled with liquid methanol fuel which is available cheaply from DIY stores or chemists. The boiler holds almost 90ml of water, the burner can be filled with 27ml of fuel. Depending on the quality of the fuel and the ambient temperatures, operating times of between 15 and 30 minutes are realistic.

The model ship has a stable, very strong GRP hull, the superstructure is made of wood. All wooden parts are cleanly included as punched parts. Fittings are made of metal. A metal shaft system is included.

Operation with a remote control is provided. However, the steam engine cannot be reversed!

The instructions are only available in English and are very brief. Photos and drawings make building easier for the experienced modeller.

For operation in water, we recommend retrofitting the model with an exhaust steam condenser.
