The Ulises was a salvage tug for use on the high seas. In the 60s of the last century, the seas were extremely busy with commercial traffic. Merchant ships were exposed to many dangers from storms and rough seas. Salvage tugs were of vital importance, ensuring that wrecked ships made it safely to the nearest port. At that time, metal was the predominant material for shipbuilding. The hardness of steel was exploited in the construction of the hull, while wood was used for the cladding of the steering and crew areas.
The kit contains all necessary parts including fittings and very good building instructions. The model can be upgraded to an RC model.
Technical data:
Length 830 mm
Height 400 mm
Width 180 mm
Scale 1:30
