The Le Superbe was a French warship of the first rank from 1784. Built more than a century later than the Couronne, this ship looks almost modern compared to the high-sided ships from the 17th century.
All the wooden parts in the model kit are laser-cut. The fittings set contains etched brass decorations, a moulded figurehead, metal gun barrels and all the other necessary maidens, blocks and fittings. The building plan and instructions are detailed and of course in German. Nevertheless, newcomers to modelling historical ships should tackle simpler tasks first.
